The whole long history of Vietnam is fighting to regain independence back mostly from China. That will continue until China bites the last bite from her.By the time China get the whole Vietnam, no one, nothing will stop their claws to grab the rest of the region and soon the whole world. Obviously living under cruelty Chinese government is not a volunteer option for human in this earth.

So, in my opinion. The best thing to happen for Vietnam is to be adopted by a strong nation. It's worth the try for both nations as Vietnam possess its important political strategy location in the region, besides being a beautiful country that lying on Pacific ocean shore. And also very important! The resources it can supply...oil is one hot one by now!!!Fair thing is most Vietnamese who escaped the country are in US.
